Cybersecurity is about protecting companies from the criminals outside, as much as from the stupids inside.
Don’t get me wrong. We are all stupid from time to time, and I am the first in that.
This is the section for people to brag about their credentials, achievements, and how well their farts smell.
In my case, I will talk about the first time I was hacked. It was a Hotmail account; feel free to estimate the date.
If you expect some technical explanation of how I received a sophisticated cryptographic attack, I will let you down. It was something small. The equivalent to an open door, or a key under the doormat.
Since then, I have spent more than 20 years learning about the information security equivalents of opening doors and keys under the doormats.
I have also learned about cryptography, but as I said, that is not as useful.
Today I share my knowledge in a daily newsletter.
The idea is for you to learn something new while having a good time.
If I have to prioritize learning or entertaining, I do the latter. That may be the reason we are so many already.
